Hometown Holidays is the Memorial Day Weekend Music Destination

Four Stages of Music, Local Food Favorites and Kids Fun Return May 27-28

The Hometown Holidays Music Fest returns to Town Center for its 29th year this Memorial Day weekend, offering an opportunity to connect with friends, create memories and celebrate the start of summer.

The Rockville tradition will feature more than 25 local, regional and national performing artists and the best local food around on Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28.

The weekend will once again feature favorite food from local restaurants at the Taste of Rockville, as well as kids amusements, the return of “the beach” sand pile and the 73rd Annual Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade on Monday, May 29.

The Hometown Holidays Music Fest is a destination for music lovers, featuring performances on four stages across six city blocks. The main Beach Stage will once again have a Maryland flavor, with roots reggae from Baltimore’s Jah Works on Saturday and the “phat blues music” of Baltimore’s Kelly Bell Band joined by the original “Bad Boys of Bethesda,” The Nighthawks, on Sunday. The full lineup will be announced in late February at www.rockvillemd.gov/hometownholidays. Visit “City of Rockville Hometown Holidays” on Facebook, where a new musical act will be profiled each week on #MusicMonday.

The festival is just a five-minute walk from the Rockville Metro station. Festival-goers who drive or bike can find parking options at www.rockvilleparking.com.
