Hometown Holidays to Make Memorial Day Weekend Great at RedGate

Save the Date for May 25-26 for the City’s Annual Music Fest

Mark your calendars for the Hometown Holidays Music Fest from noon-7 p.m. Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 at RedGate Park. The annual free festival will feature two stages, food and beverages, and activities for kids.

Once again, the festival will offer entertainment aplenty, with music from U.S. Navy Band Commodores, 8 Ohms, Poehemia, DeSanguashington and the JoGo Project. Kid-friendly features include music by Kidsinger Jim and an animal show by Ferrets and Friends. The full schedule will be available the first week of April.

Kick off your shoes and kick off summer with your feet in the sand at two sand pits, join a game of cornhole, or take a morning yoga class with Thrive Yoga from 9-10 a.m. Sunday at the RedGate Stage.

A free shuttle will run between Rockville Town Center and the festival.

The city’s 80th annual Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, May 27, in Rockville Town Center, will cap off the weekend.

Find more details, as they are announced, at www.rockvillemd.gov/HTH and “City of Rockville Hometown Holidays” on Facebook, and in the May/June issue of “Rockville Reports.”
