A three-alarm fire at Fireside Park Apartments on Feb. 2 left 33 families displaced. Several local nonprofits are collecting donations to help Rockville neighbors in need.
- Rockville Housing Enterprises is accepting donations of the following new, or gently used, items from 1-3 p.m. each day through Friday at David Scull Community Center, 1251 First St.:
- Toiletries/hygiene products (toothbrushes, combs, toilet paper, shampoo, etc.).
- Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets).
- Baby items (diapers, wipes, etc.).
- Small household items (dishes, soap, towels, etc.).
Volunteers are also needed to receive, sort and distribute donations.
- Interfaith Works is collecting clothing and small household items. Contact Rachel Sanborn, [email protected], 240-641-6305 or drop off your donation at the Interfaith Works Clothing Center, 751 Twinbrook Parkway.
- A Wider Circle accepts furniture and household goods donations. Call 301-608-3504 for more information, or drop off donations at 9159 Brookville Road in Silver Spring.
