Rockville’s 2017 Holiday Drive made Thanksgiving and the December holiday season special for neighbors in need.
In November, the drive:
- Provided Thanksgiving meals to 483 families, including more than 1,600 individuals.
- Hosted a Thanksgiving meal for 105 seniors.
In December, the drive served:
- 306 families.
- 437 children aged 10 and under.
- 175 children aged 11 to 17.
- 75 senior or adult-only households.
The drive distributed:
- 874 toys.
- 231 board games and stuffed animals.
- 611 books.
- 437 stocking stuffers.
- Giant gift card referrals to 268 adult-only or senior households.
- Target gift card referrals to 360 teens.
In addition, gifts tailored to the needs of 67 families, including 118 adults and 143 children, were distributed through the family sponsorship program.
