How You Helped the Holiday Drive, by the Numbers

Rockville’s 2017 Holiday Drive made Thanksgiving and the December holiday season special for neighbors in need.

In November, the drive:

  • Provided Thanksgiving meals to 483 families, including more than 1,600 individuals.
  • Hosted a Thanksgiving meal for 105 seniors.

In December, the drive served:

  • 306 families.
  • 437 children aged 10 and under.
  • 175 children aged 11 to 17.
  • 75 senior or adult-only households.

The drive distributed:

  • 874 toys.
  • 231 board games and stuffed animals.
  • 611 books.
  • 437 stocking stuffers.
  • Giant gift card referrals to 268 adult-only or senior households.
  • Target gift card referrals to 360 teens.

In addition, gifts tailored to the needs of 67 families, including 118 adults and 143 children, were distributed through the family sponsorship program.
