In the Park and on the Big Screen: Rockville’s Movies in the Parks

Four Movies. Four Weeks. Four Neighborhood Parks.

Mark your summer entertainment calendar for Rockville’s free outdoor Movies in the Parks, on the big screen at neighborhood parks throughout the city on Wednesdays from July 31 to Aug. 21.

Bring chairs, blankets, food and nonalcoholic beverages and enjoy four family-friendly movies at four different neighborhood parks. Movies begin at dusk (approximately 8 p.m.) and are free.

The 2024 schedule is:

• “The Emperor’s New Groove” (Rated G) on July 31, at Fallsgrove Park, 700 Fallsgrove Drive.
• “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” (PG) on Aug. 7, at Montrose Park, 451 Congressional Lane.
• “Encanto” (PG) on Aug. 14, at Calvin Park, 1248 Gladstone Drive.
• “Matilda (1996)” (PG) on Aug. 21, at Mattie J.T. Stepanek Park, 1800 Piccard Drive.
