Juneteenth in Rockville

Rockville City Hall and some city facilities will be closed Wednesday, June 19 as the city observes Juneteenth.

During the Juneteenth holiday week, Monday and Tuesday recycling, trash and yard waste collections will occur as usual. Wednesday and Thursday collections will occur one day later than usual. Find more information at www.rockvillemd.gov/recycling-trash.

The following Rockville facilities will be closed Wednesday, June 19:

  • Rockville Senior Center.
  • Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers.
  • Croydon Creek Nature Center.
  • Glenview Mansion and the Rockville Civic Center business office.
  • F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and box office. Tickets are always available at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre.
  • The Rockville Skate Park.

The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center’s indoor pool and fitness center will be open for regular hours Wednesday, June 19. Visit www.rockvillemd.gov/swimcenter for individual pool schedules or call 240-314-8750.

Parking will be free at city-owned meters on Wednesday, June 19.
