The Mayor and Council will hold a work session, Monday, Dec. 9, on next steps for Rockville’s Town Center Master Plan. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The Rockville Planning Commission approved a draft of the Town Center Master Plan in September to forward to the Mayor and Council for their final approval.
The overarching goal of the master plan update is to strengthen Town Center by creating a cohesive vision for the planning area, one that meets the city’s goals and provides a clear path for implementation.
The draft document can be reviewed on the Town Center project page at engagerockville.com/towncenter.
A second public hearing on the plan will also be held during the Dec. 9 Mayor and Council meeting. A public hearing on the plan before the Mayor and Council was held Oct. 28. Find a video of the hearing at www.rockvillemd.gov/AgendaCenter by clicking the TV icon next to the Oct. 28 meeting listing.
Final adoption of the plan is expected in January.
