Mayor for a Day, the Rockville Way

Rockville welcomed Callie Walker, winner of the “If I Were Mayor…” essay contest, in May. Walker, a fourth-grader at St. Mary’s School, was interviewed by Rockville 11 and visited the Rockville City Police Department, the Department of Public Works Equipment Show, and Croydon Creek Nature Center, and had lunch with Mayor Monique Ashton.

She was also recognized at the May 20 Mayor and Council meeting, where she read her winning essay. Learn more at rockvillereports.com/yiwp.
