• 10 A.M.-NOON, SATURDAY, APRIL 23
RedGate Park, 14500 Avery Road.
An in-person meeting, conducted in an open house format. Exhibits will provide information about the proposed concept and staff will be available to answer questions and receive comments. No formal presentation or discussions are planned. Visitors are encouraged to arrive at their leisure between 10 a.m. and noon.
The preferred concept includes a small-scale amphitheater, community gardens, a nature playground, an arboretum, picnic areas, a network of trails and renovating the existing clubhouse.
Plans for the park were developed based on the city’s strategic plan for recreation and parks in Rockville, considerable engagement with and feedback from the community, input from the Mayor and Council, and environmental constraints of natural features at the park.
