More Trees? Wish Granted, Thanks to the Chesapeake Bay Trust

Treetops against a blue sky

The Chesapeake Bay Trust awarded the city a grant of $181,720 to plant more than 950 trees in the southern section of RedGate Park and Arboretum.

This is the second year in a row Rockville has received funding to help with reforestation efforts at RedGate. In spring, nearly 1,500 trees and shrubs were planted in the northern section of the park.

These plantings are consistent with the city’s Climate Action Plan and the RedGate Park Master Plan
