Nature Center Fire Pit Becomes S’more Accessible to All

Eagle Scout candidate Jack Zincke and his team recently completed renovations of the fire pit at Croydon Creek Nature Center at 852 Avery Road. The project expanded the fire pit to improve accessibility and safety, while adding new benches to increase seating capacity around the fire. Their efforts have significantly enhanced the space, creating a more welcoming environment for visitors to the nature center. This revitalization project represents one of the final requirements for Zincke’s Eagle Scout Award, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America program.
