New Flooding Protection Guide Now Available

Rockville’s flooding guide, “Go With the Flow: A Homeowner’s Guide to Responsible Stormwater Solutions” is now available at www.rockvillemd.gov/flooding.

The guide features information about reducing flooding impacts to your home and neighborhood and is available in English, Spanish and Simplified Chinese. It provides helpful tips if you are experiencing flooding problems or thinking about adding impervious surface area to your property, such as constructing or expanding a driveway, patio or home addition.

Each section provides steps for identifying the source and severity of flooding, potential solutions, and a contractor to confirm and execute the right solution for your property, as well as how to apply for rebates to offset flood mitigation project costs.
