New Hot Box Trailer is a Better Pothole Repairer

A newly purchased hot box trailer is making pothole repair practically painless for the city’s Department of Public Works. Traditional asphalt repair takes two to three hours.

“With this new machine, in [about] 20 minutes, they can roll over to a pothole, make those repairs and then move on to the next spot in the city,” said operations maintenance superintendent John Hollida. And the trailer costs about a third less than the vehicle crews formerly used.
