New Year’s and Martin Luther King Jr. Day Bring Closures

City Hall and most city facilities will be closed in observance of New Year’s Day, Monday, Jan. 2 and Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 16.

Saturday, Dec. 31: Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Croydon Creek Nature Center will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The Rockville Skate Park will be closed. The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will be open with limited hours and services. Visit www.rockvillemd.gov/swimcenter for details.

Sunday, Jan. 1: All city facilities will be closed. Monday, Jan. 2: Recycling and trash collections will occur as usual during New Year’s week. City Hall and most city facilities will be closed, including the Rockville Senior Center and fitness room; Croydon Creek Nature Center; the Rockville Skate Park; Glenview Mansion; the Rockville Civic Center business office; and the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre box office. For theater tickets, visit www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre. Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers will be open 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will be open. Visit www.rockvillemd.gov/swimcenter for details. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 16: The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will be open for regular hours. City Hall and all other city facilities will be closed.

Recycling and trash collections will occur one day later than usual throughout the week of Jan. 16.
