October’s Shows at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre
“Shrek the Musical” and “The Bohemian Girl” will fill the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre with song and dance throughout October.

At 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8, and at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 9, the Victorian Lyric Opera Company will present “The Bohemian Girl,” an opera in three acts by Michael W. Balfe, with a libretto by Alfred Bunn.

The story is set in 17th-century Poland, and tells the story of Arline, the Bohemian girl, who is in love with Thaddeus, a Polish nobleman and political exile. The story of “The Bohemian Girl” is told in three acts and is based on a short story by Spanish novelist Miguel de Cervantes, titled “La Gitanilla” (The Gypsy Girl).
Tickets: $28 adults; $24 seniors; $20 students.

Rockville Musical Theatre will present “Shrek the Musical,” a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film. “Shrek the Musical” brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage, and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears.
