Open House Will Welcome Ideas for New Skate Park

Plans for a new, 15,000-square-foot concrete skate park, to replace the one at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center, are up for discussion at an open house, 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22.

The open house will be held at the swim center, 355 Martins Lane. Attendees will have the chance to discuss what features they’d like to see in the new skate park. Once plans are complete, the new facility will take 18-24 months to complete. The original skate park next to Welsh Park, opened in 2001.
