Pinneberg-Rockville Relationship to be Celebrated with Volksmarch

Rockville Sister Cities Corporation (RSCC) will celebrate six decades of its relationship with Pinneberg, Germany, with a volksmarch on Saturday, April 22.

Participants must start between 8 and 11 a.m. at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center, 355 Martin’s Lane, and should plan to finish by 2 p.m.  The walk includes both 5- and 10-kilometer trails. The routes pass by several of Rockville’s historic landmarks, including the Beall-Dawson House and Red Brick Courthouse, and St. Mary’s Church and cemetery.

The free, at-your-own-pace walk is co-sponsored by the Seneca Valley Volksmarch Club, Inc. No registration is required. The cost is $3 for those seeking Internationaler Volkssport Verband credit.
