Planning Commission to Hold Public Hearing on North Stonestreet Avenue Land Use

Rockville’s Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 on an amendment to the Comprehensive Master Plan for a portion of North Stonestreet Avenue.

The draft plan amendment is a step toward implementing recommendations in the Stonestreet Corridor Study to promote neighborhood-oriented, mixed-use development. The area under consideration is generally between Howard Avenue to the south and Spring Avenue to the north.

A draft of the plan amendment document, titled “Comprehensive Master Plan Amendment: N. Stonestreet Avenue Land Use – Public Hearing Draft,” and more information about the Stonestreet study, are available at www.rockvillemd.gov/2004/stonestreet-corridor.
