RCPD Program Supports
Crime Victims

The Rockville City Police Department recognizes that crime victims need and expect police follow-up to bring their experience to closure. With that in mind, RCPD’s Victim Assistance Program works with city police officers to supplement and enhance their efforts to follow up with crime victims.

The victim advocate makes direct contact with crime victims, to provide information on their specific cases, such as what will happen after a police report is written and when a case goes to court. The program also provides information on resources such as counseling, court accompaniment, financial compensation and crime prevention.

The program is free and available to city residents or victims of crimes committed in Rockville, and to their families.

For support, information and referrals to resources, contact RCPD’s victim advocate at [email protected] or 240-314-8917. Learn more at www.rockvillemd.gov/residents/victim.
