Road Closures for Upcoming VisArts Arts Festival

The 13th Annual VisArts’ Rockville Arts Festival — a fine arts festival with 130 artists, a community art experience and art demonstrations — will be held 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4 at Rockville Town Square, rain or shine.

Streets will close at 8 a.m. Friday, May 2 and reopen 9 p.m. Sunday, May 4. East Middle Lane will be closed from the HSBC Bank and Helen Heneghan Way to Gibbs Street. Maryland Avenue will be closed from the Garage A entrance to East Montgomery Avenue.

Merchants are encouraged to have all deliveries for the weekend made Thursday, May 1. Contact festival director Robin Markowitz as soon as possible at [email protected] to arrange a special weekend delivery time. Festival staff will make every effort to assist in the event of an unexpected delivery.

Parking can be accessed:

  • Through the HSBC Bank parking lot to Garage B.
  • At Helen Heneghan Way, for the Cambria Hotel and BLVD Forty Four residents.
  • For Fenestra residents, Office Building 20 and the 37 Maryland Ave. garage at East Middle Lane and Gibbs Street: Residents will enter/exit at Gibbs Street, starting 8 a.m. Friday. Rockville police will monitor the intersection.

There will be no metered street parking where a road is closed. All garages are available for parking.
