Rockville Facilities to Close for the Holidays

3953435119_377bd5fa63_mCity Hall will be closed Monday, Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas Day and Monday, Jan. 2 in observance of New Year’s Day.

Recycling and refuse will be collected one day later throughout those weeks. Find more information at www.rockvillemd.gov/recycling-refuse.

City Hall will also be closed 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, for an annual recognition event for city employees. Other city facilities will operate on the following schedule:

  • Croydon Creek Nature Center will be open 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 24 and 31 and closed Sundays, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The center is closed Mondays.
  • During the last two weeks of the month, the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre box office will be open from 2-7 p.m. Tuesdays, Dec. 20 and 27 and Wednesdays, Dec. 21 and 28. The box office will resume regular hours Tuesday, Jan. 3. Tickets are always available at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre.
  • Lincoln Park and Thomas Farm community centers and Twinbrook Community Recreation Center will be open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 24 and 31 and Mondays, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, and closed Sundays, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
  • The Rockville Senior Center, including the fitness room, will close at 2 p.m. on Saturdays, Dec. 24 and 31, and is closed Sundays.
  • The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will be open 6 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 24 and 31, closed Sundays Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, and open Mondays, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2. Visit www.rockvillemd.gov/swimcenter for lap and program schedules.
