Rockville’s Camps Will Keep Your Kids’ Minds and Bodies Thriving Through Summer

It’s never too early to start thinking about what to do with your kids over a summer break — and Rockville’s camp program has you covered, whether you live in Rockville or work here!

Summer Blast, Rockville’s affordable, flexible all-day camp returns to four locations with swimming, field trips, arts, crafts, games and special events. Register by the week or for the whole summer. Summer Blast provides full-day care, 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. June 18-Aug. 24.

Other opportunities will include: Tiny Chefs Cooking camp, which will have additional weeks due to its popularity in 2016; educational and entertaining Mad Science; the Lego Invention camp, which, along with RC Racing Academy and Robotics, inspires design and innovation; and, for creative or theatrical campers, Hip Hop, Dramatic Kids, Abrakadoodle and Way Off Broadway.

The Summer Camps Guide 2018 is in the works and will be available online and in print at city facilities and Rockville libraries on Jan. 12. For an early preview, drop by the city’s booth at the 2018 Montgomery County Camp and Summer Fun Expo, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28 at the Hilton Hotel Meeting Center, 1750 Rockville Pike.
