Second Post-Election Forum to Be Held in February

Candidates, Treasurers Encouraged to Take Part

The City of Rockville Board of Supervisors of Elections will host its second post-election forum to discuss Rockville’s 2023 vote-by-mail election.

This in-person-only forum will be held in the Mayor and Council chambers at City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave., from 9 a.m.-noon, Saturday, Feb. 24.

The first forum was held in January. The City Clerk/Director of Council Operations Office will accept comments by email at [email protected] until close of business on Thursday, Feb. 29.

These meetings are the first step in the planning process for the 2027 election. Members of the public are welcome to attend, though the board would particularly appreciate input from 2023 candidates and campaign treasurers in evaluating the elections process.

In preparation for the meeting, attendees are encouraged to review Chapter 8 of the City Code. It can be found at bit.ly/CityCodeCh8 or by calling the City Clerk’s Office.

For more info or to RSVP, contact Judy Penny at [email protected] or 240-314-8280.
