Street Paving On Deck for the Early Weeks of Summer

City contractors will repave 25 road segments across the city from mid-June through early July.

The City of Rockville is scheduled to repave 25 street segments over the next month. They are:

  • The weeks of June 12 and June 19: Baltimore Road, Golden Oak Terrace, Peonies Terrace, Rosebush Lane, Goodland Place, Jacala Terrace and Oak Knoll Terrace.
  • The week of June 19: Casey Lane, Nature Lane, Jersey Lane, Long Trail Lane, Potter Lane, Lisa Oaks Way and Garcia Lane.
  • The week of June 26: Casey Lane, Long Trail Terrace, Deep Trail Lane, Jay Drive, Oak Knoll Drive, and Windy Knoll Drive.
  • The weeks of July 3 and July 10: Prettyman Drive, Fallsgrove Boulevard, Fallsgrove Drive, Blackwell Road and Wood Hill Road.

Rockville streets are evaluated and maintained through the asphalt maintenance program, which is funded annually through the city’s Capital Improvements Program. Rockville repaves streets to create a smoother drive for motorists and to preserve the integrity of roads.

Normal work hours for repaving will be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. on secondary streets and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on major streets. “No parking” signs will be posted within 48 hours of the start of work. Temporary traffic stoppages are necessary for safety, but should have minimal impact on traffic. The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and coordination with other utility work.
