Summer Camp Slots Still Available 

Missed the opening registration day for Rockville’s summer camps? No problem — we still have lots of activities available to keep your camper busy!

Here are a few to consider: 

School of Music 

This week-long day camp teaches kids how to play ukulele, percussion, sing and more. Instruments and supplies are provided. Held at Twinbrook Community Recreation Center. For ages 8-12. 

Register with course #35006 for Aug. 11-15 or 35007 for Aug. 18-22. Cost: $348 for residents; $369 for nonresidents. 

Flag Football and Swim 

Work on skills development and teamwork on the gridiron, then cool off with a refreshing dip at the Rockville Swim and Fitness Center. Held at Welsh Park. For ages 6-12. Register with course #35186 for June 23-26; #35187 for July 28-31; and #35188 for Aug. 4-7. Cost: $230 for residents; $250 for nonresidents. 

Into the Metaverse 

Explore the world of virtual reality and take part in other activities, including outdoor adventures, creative craft projects and field trips to the pool. For ages 11-14. Visit www.rockvillemd.gov/registration and search “Metaverse” for camp options. 

Cheer Madness Camp 

Stunts, dance routines, beginner gymnastics and flexibility improvement are just a few of the things to learn during this camp. Equipment is included, including the poms. Students should wear closed-toe tennis shoes and leggings or shorts. For ages 6-12. Held at Thomas Farm Community Center. 

Register with course #34950 for June 30-July 3 ($249 for residents; $269 for nonresidents) or #34972 for July 7-11 ($315 for residents; $335 for nonresidents).
