Summer Programs for Kids:
Camps and Playgrounds

CAMPS…
Registration opened Jan. 17 for more than 60 camps available throughout Rockville. They include the traditional all-day, all-summer break Summer Blast program, which runs from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. each day and is hosted at four sites throughout the city, as well as specialty camps that explore robotics, the arts, athletics, sports, science, dancing, nature, theater, parkour and many other experiences for kids age 3-16. PLAYGROUNDS…
Children age 6-12 experience a summer full of excitement and fun at programs in neighborhoods throughout Rockville. Stay active by taking part in sports, completing fitness challenges and playing a variety of playground games. There’s also plenty of time to create crafts, enjoy water activities and connect with friends. Weekly themes enhance the fun. Optional Playground Extras, including Soccer Aces, swimming and field trips to Zava Zone and Monster Mini Golf, are available for additional fees. Extended hours are offered at three sites. The program is 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, June 26-Aug. 3. Visit www.rockvillemd.gov/summerplaygrounds.
