The comprehensive rewrite of the city’s zoning ordinance — Chapter 25 of the city code — aims to enhance the code’s usability and accessibility, as well as modernize land-use laws to meet the changing living, working and recreation trends of Rockville’s residents in the 21st century.
Through the survey, respondents can express interest in joining a focus group or signing up for email updates.
The zoning ordinance was last updated in 2009. This project will update the zoning ordinance and implement changes to the city’s zoning map, including rezoning properties as recommended by the 2040 comprehensive plan.
