Victorian Lyric Opera Company presents “The New Moon”
8 p.m. Friday, March 3 and Saturday, March 4; 2 p.m. Sunday, March 5.

Revolution, romance, mutiny and betrayal are woven throughout this classic 1928 operetta, set in 18th-century New Orleans. Robert, a French aristocrat and revolutionary flees France and settles in New Orleans by selling himself into servitude to a wealthy landowner. He falls in love with the owner’s beautiful daughter, Marianne, but due to his circumstances cannot tell her who he really is. Hunted by a French detective, Robert is eventually captured and put aboard a ship, The New Moon, to be returned to France. Things take a turn when a mutiny occurs onboard and the ship’s entire party, including Robert and Marianne, are made to start life anew on a remote island.

Rockville Concert Band presents “Zarzuela and Pasodobles”
3 p.m. Sunday, March 12.

Music director Juan Gallastegui conducts a musical celebration of Spanish drama and dance. No tickets are required, but a $5 donation is suggested. For more information, visit rockvilleconcertband.org.

Glenview Mansion Art Gallery Exhibits the Washington Water Color Association
Visit washingtonwatercolor.com for more information about the association. The exhibit will be on display until Friday, March 24.

The Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible gallery, on the second floor of Glenview Mansion, is open 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and closed on official city holidays.

Rockville Civic Ballet presents “Lancelot”
2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 25; 2 p.m. Sunday, March 26.

One kingdom’s tale of knights, adventure and love, directed by Eleanor Simpson and Erin Kwong.
Tickets cost $17; $13 for children 12 and younger; $13 for seniors 60 and older. Group rates: $16.50 for seven or more adult tickets; $12.50 for 10 or more children/senior tickets.
