Tips for Self-Care During Times of Stress

The City of Rockville Community Services Division can help residents access services to address health, mental health, housing, financial insecurity, food insecurity, child care and more.

Here are some tips from the DHCD to help find calm during times of stress:

  • Take care of basic needs, for example, sleep, relaxation time, time outside, nutrition or talking to friends.
  • When you’re calmer, think about what’s causing the stress or upset, and about how to alleviate or solve that problem.
  • If you need additional help, reach out to family, friends and your community. Connect with Rockville’s Community Services Division if you need professional help.
