Tree Trimming in the City

A Tree Surgeon trims trees using a chain saw and a bucket truck.

If you see tree trimming in your neighborhood, don’t be alarmed. Pepco prunes trees near power lines to stay in accordance with state and federal regulations and to maintain the safety and reliability of its electrical service. Rockville’s forestry division works with Pepco to make sure pruning by the electrical utility’s contracted, licensed tree professionals is done in accordance with current industry standards. In addition, Rockville has contractors performing routine, non-utility line tree trimming for overall tree health and safety throughout the city.
