West to Be Sworn In as Rockville Police Chief

Jason L. West will be officially sworn in as Rockville’s police chief on Monday, June 30 during a ceremony at City Hall.

The ceremony will be held from 5-7 p.m. in the Mayor and Council chamber. It will be broadcast live on Rockville 11, channel 11 on county cable. A reception will follow.

West, a 25-year police veteran, has served with the Rockville City Police Department for eight years. He was named acting chief in October.

City Manager Jeff Mihelich named West the department’s permanent chief, effective immediately, on June 4.
