City Hall and Facilities to Close Several Days in November

Rockville City Hall will be closed on Election Day, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving weekend and other city facilities will be closed or will operate on limited schedules.

Tuesday, Nov. 8 (Election Day):

  • City Hall and the Rockville Senior Center will be closed.
  • Croydon Creek Nature Center will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • All other city facilities will open as usual.
  • Recycling and refuse will be collected as usual.
  • For information about voting times and locations, early or absentee voting and more, visit www.montgomerycountymd.gov/elections.

Friday, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day): 

  • City Hall, the Senior Center and Glenview Mansion will be closed.
  • The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre box office will be open 6-8 p.m. Tickets are always available at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatretix.
  • Croydon Creek Nature Center will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • All other city facilities will be open as usual.
  • The city will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony honoring those who have served in the armed forces at 11 a.m. at Veterans Park.

Thursday, Nov. 24 (Thanksgiving Day) and Friday, Nov. 25: 

  • City Hall, the Senior Center, Glenview Mansion and the Fitzgerald Theatre box office will be closed.
  • Recycling and refuse normally collected on Thursdays will be collected Friday, Nov. 25.

Facilities that are closed Nov. 24 and open Nov. 25, for the following hours: 

  • Croydon Creek Nature Center (10 a.m.-2 p.m.).
  • Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers (10 a.m.-6 p.m.).
  • Rockville Swim and Fitness Center north pool and fitness room (6 a.m.-9 p.m.). South pool closed. Visit www.rockvillemd.gov/swimcenter for more information.
