Community Police Academies Offer Hands-on Experience

UPDATE, Friday, March 13: Due to ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19, the Community Police Academy and the Senior Police Academy has been postponed until further notice.

Community members can learn what it takes to be a police officer through the Rockville Community Police Academy or a special course aimed at 60-plus residents.

RCPD is also offering a free course highlighting safety for the 60-plus population and exploring code enforcement, the K-9 unit and forensic science. Participants will also tour the police station.
