‘Grapes’ and Gallery Shows, This Month at the Civic Center

Rockville Civic Center Park, home to the historic Glenview Mansion and F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, is located at 603 Edmonston Drive.

Rockville Little Theatre presents “The Grapes of Wrath” 8 p.m. Jan. 26 and 27 and Feb. 2 and 3; 2 p.m. Jan. 28 and Feb. 4.

This quintessential American story of hope and survival follows the Joad family’s epic journey from the Dust Bowl of Oklahoma to the promised land of California. A soaring affirmation of the human spirit, “The Grapes of Wrath” provides the perfect canvas for an examination of a nation in search of itself. By Frank Galati, from the novel by John Steinbeck
