Grow a Team of Faithful Green Leaders

Is your religious congregation looking to grow a strong green team to help address climate change?

The Faithful Green Leaders Training program helps partner congregations acquire the knowledge, skills, tools and support they need to lead their communities in raising awareness and restoring the waters of the Chesapeake region.

The training, a free, three-session online workshop and series of optional monthly learning lab webinars, is provided by Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake. IPC is a grant partner with the City of Rockville through the Chesapeake Bay Trust.

Teams taking the training will learn how to:

• Establish and grow a green team.

• Engage their congregation in exciting environmental education programs.

• Develop an action plan.

• Enhance communication skills to help spread the word.

• Improve grant-writing skills.

• Help your congregation use fewer single-use water bottles, less polystyrene foam, save on energy use and create less waste.

Online workshops will be held 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 11, 18 and 25. Registration is limited. Register by Wednesday, March 5 at www.interfaithchesapeake.org/march_2025_fglt
