Help Save the Bay While Saving Money With RainScapes Rebates

Rain cistern in garden

Rockville is proud to partner with the Chesapeake Bay Trust to help residents save money when installing sustainable landscaping and small-scale stormwater practices through the RainScapes Rebate program.
Eligible properties, including single-family homes and townhouses, homeowners and condominium associations, and other nonprofits can receive up to $5,000 in rebates.

The list of eligible practices includes rebates for rain gardens, cisterns, green roofs, permeable paver retrofits, pavement removal and conservation landscaping. Property owners must apply before project installation and submit itemized receipts and/or final invoices for all project costs.

Rebate amounts will not exceed documented costs. Visit www.rockvillemd.gov/rainscapes to learn more and apply. Chesapeake Bay Trust staff will review and process rebate applications and perform site visits and are available to answer property owners’ questions. Email [email protected].

The RainScapes Rebates program is part of the city’s efforts to meet its Climate Action Plan goals by creating private property incentives and education programs to promote tree planting and environmentally friendly landscape conversions and practices.
