On Your Marks for the Rockville 10K/5K

The 42nd annual, oldest-continuing foot race in Montgomery County is ready, set and go for 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 5.

The Rockville 10K/5K Race begins and ends at King Farm Village Center. Runners can choose from a 5- or 10-kilometer race. The 10K starts at 8:30 a.m., the 5K at 8:45 a.m. Children can take part in the Kids 1-Mile Fun Run, which begins at 8:15 a.m. The course runs a scenic route along Redland Boulevard (west of Grand Champion Drive), Gaither Road, Piccard Drive and West Gude Drive.

Race fees for the 5K and 10K are $35 online or by mail through Thursday, Nov. 2; $45 at packet pickup on Saturday, Nov. 4 and walk-up on race day. The Kids 1-Mile Fun Run costs $12 per child. Participants can register online through Thursday, Nov. 2.
