Represent Your Neighborhood With the City’s Budget Survey

Public participation in the budget process is a high priority for the Mayor and Council and city staff. That includes having all parts of the city represented in responses to a survey about community priorities for the city’s budget.

The survey can be found at www.rockvillemd.gov/budget. It is available in English, Spanish and Simplified Chinese and takes 5-10 minutes to complete. Responses provide valuable input to the Mayor and Council for their budget discussions.

The proposed Fiscal Year 2026 operating budget and Capital Improvements Program will be posted to the city’s website on Friday, March 7. Budget work sessions and public hearings are scheduled for Mondays, March 17 and 24. A work session and the close of the public record is scheduled for Monday, April 14.

The Mayor and Council are scheduled to adopt the budget on Monday, May 5. FY26 begins Tuesday, July 1.
