Rocktobierfest Presents Ample Opportunity to ‘Oompah!’ 

Rocktobierfest returns to Rockville Town Center on Saturday, Sept. 28 for a Bavarian-themed bash featuring bands, beers and bratwurst.

The sixth edition of the free festival, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., will include two stages of live music, food, beer sales by local breweries, and an artisan shopping area. This popular event attracts nearly 8,000 people each year.

Bavarian bands and pop rock cover acts taking to the stages include It’s All Good, Mike Surratt and the Continentals, HFS, Sons of Pirates, Alt Washingtonia, and Rockville German Band.

Featured beverage vendors include 7 Locks Brewing, Clear Skies Meadery, Crooked Crab Brewing Co., Denizens Brewing Co., Lone Oak Farm Brewing Co., Saints Row Brewing, Silver Branch Brewing Co., Third Hill Brewing Co., Twin Valley Distillers, Guilford Hall Brewery, Waredaca Brewing Co. and World of Beer.

The festival site is located next to Courthouse Square Park in Rockville Town Center and is within walking distance of the Rockville Metro station. Free parking locations include the County Council Office Building on Fleet Street, and the City Hall lot at 111 Maryland Ave.
