Rockville Little Theatre Presents “Stick Fly” 8 p.m. April 28 and 29 and May 5 and 6; 2 p.m. April 30 and May 7.

Sibling rivalries and parental expectations come to a head as family secrets emerge during a weekend away that becomes more “interrogation” than “relaxation” in this witty and moving rollercoaster of a family comedy-drama.

Playwright Lydia R. Diamond (“Smart People”) brings her gift for sharp dialogue, complex characters and relevant themes to the stage with this timely look at African-American elite aristocracy, social assumptions and family dynamics.

Note that this production contains the use strong language and racial slurs, the depiction of drug use and a moment of violence.

Glenview Mansion Art Gallery Presents the Maryland Pastel Society

Meet the artists behind “The Language of Pastel,” 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30. The exhibit will be on display April 3-May 12.

The Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible gallery, on the second floor of Glenview Mansion, is open 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and closed on official city holidays.
